DeadEasy Anti-Spam Policy

Anti-Spam Policy

WHAT IS SPAM?

Spam is the sending of unsolicited e-mails, also know as junk e-mails. It is the complete opposite to the sending of permission-based e-mails to contacts who have provided their e-mail address for the sole purpose of receiving information. Spam not only invades a person's privacy, but are also irrelevant and quite often offensive. Spam e-mails also do not give the option to unsubscribe from the mailing list.

DeadEasy e-mail campaigner only supports permission-based e-mail marketing and research practices. The following information discloses our usage policies for our DeadEasy website.

WHERE DOES THE NAME 'SPAM' COME FROM?

The term 'spam' for unsolicited emails originally comes from a Monty Python comedy sketch, where every meal came served with Spam (Spiced Ham). Hence, 'Spam with Everything'!

DEADEASY OPT-IN LIST

DeadEasy encourages customers to use the Opt-In List feature. This allows you to save an unlimited amount of subscribers from your 'Opt-In' or 'Sign-Up' form on your website directly to your contact list in your DeadEasy Account.

REFERRALS

Below every e-mail you send, you can add links to 'Subscribe Now' or 'Forward to a Friend'. This way of referral marketing has a higher success rate than a standard e-mail campaign, because of it's personal touch and interest to the recipient.

DeadEasy is a permission-based e-mail marketing tool, and strictly observes anti-spam policies.

UN-SUBSCRIPTION POLICY

Every e-mail sent through DeadEasy Mail contains an 'un-subscribe' link, so when a member un-subscribes from the mailing list, your DeadEasy contact list is automatically updated to prevent any more e-mails being sent to the 'un-subscribed' e-mail address from your website or through your campaign.

ACCEPTED CONTACT LISTS

The following list building sources are generally accepted:

- Clients, Investors, Resellers, Employee, Friends or Colleague lists.
- Lists rented from e-mail or list service providers or Agencies who guarantee opt-in or double opt-in inclusion, and also where the service providers have provided opt-out or unsubscribe opportunities.
- Opt-in lists that you may develop or have developed for survey panels, newsletters, newsgroups, or different user groups.

PROHIBITED LISTS

DeadEasy prohibits the creation of lists by any of the following means:

- Lists generated using web spiders.
- E-mail addresses collected from discussion lists.
- Lists generated without permission using e-mail address collection programs responding to SPAM complaints.

If you think you may have been spammed through the DeadEasy Mail Campaigner, please forward the unsolicited e-mail to abuse@deadeasy.net and pass on any information that you think will help DeadEasy in it's investigations.

We take your privacy very seriously and it is our prime policy to protect our clients and affiliates against spamming.

Thank you for reading our policies.
